Objective of Session – “Health, Nutrition & Sustainable Communities”

The session “Healthy Futures: Linking Education, Wellbeing & Urban Sustainability” aims to position engineering and education as catalysts for healthier societies and sustainable communities. By integrating food security, health literacy, clean water access and urban resilience, the session emphasizes how interdisciplinary approaches can create environments that nurture wellbeing, reduce hunger and build sustainable cities. It highlights the role of engineers, educators and policymakers in designing systems that improve quality of life while safeguarding resources for future generations.

Food Security & Nutrition: Education and innovation in sustainable agriculture, food technologies and nutrition literacy.

Health & Wellbeing: Mental health awareness, biomedical innovations and preventive healthcare through education.

Water & Sanitation: Engineering solutions for clean water access, sanitation infrastructure and hygiene awareness.

Urban Sustainability: Smart cities, green housing, waste management and student-led urban resilience projects.

Community Engagement: Civic responsibility, participatory learning and grassroots initiatives for healthier societies.

Technology Integration: AI, IoT and digital platforms to monitor and enhance health and sustainability outcomes.
