Dr. Zaky is an internationally recognized scholar, assessment expert, and curriculum consultant.
His extensive teaching and consulting experience throughout his career has enabled him to work
effectively with a diverse range of linguistic learners. He is dedicated to the conviction that
lifelong learning promotes human fulfillment and facilitates positive social change.
Throughout most of his teaching and training career, Zaky has worked with adult learners. He
taught literacy, composition, and STEM-related courses to undergraduate students at the
Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, Kean University, The American University in
Cairo, Hudson County Community College, and Union County Community College. Currently,
he leads the assessment and accreditation team at Eastern International College (EIC-NJ, USA),
focusing on institutional effectiveness in Allied Healthcare.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Zaky collaborates with faculty members from various disciplines at
his own institution and nationwide to promote inclusive, equitable, and contextually relevant
education, grounded in the latest research on leadership, teaching, and learning. Through his
teaching and research, he aims to offer his students transformative opportunities grounded in the
aesthetics of learning, truth-seeking, justice, and self-realization.
Dr. Zaky received his doctorate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), with a focus on
Curriculum and Instruction. His research interests and published work encompass Teacher
Reflection, Action Research, Reflective Teaching, Educational Technology, Assessment and
Evaluation, Professional Development for Diversity, and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy. Dr.
Zaky serves as Editor-in-Chief of the “International Journal of Interactive Communication
Systems and Technologies- IJICST- IGI Global.” Additionally, he is a member of the editorial
review boards of “SN Social Sciences, Springer,” and “Journal of International Students, JIS,
Routledge.”
