Educating for a Greener Tomorrow

Outcome of The Session : “Climate Literacy & Environmental Stewardship”

Objective of Session – “Climate Literacy & Environmental Stewardship”

The session “Educating for a Greener Tomorrow” aims to integrate climate literacy, marine stewardship and biodiversity protection into education and engineering practice. It emphasizes the role of learners, educators and engineers as environmental stewards who can drive sustainable change through awareness, innovation and community engagement. By aligning with SDGs 13, 14 and 15, the session highlights how education can foster resilience, empower climate action and safeguard ecosystems both on land and below water.

Focus Areas but not Limited to

Climate Literacy: Embedding climate awareness, carbon reduction strategies and disaster resilience into curricula.

Marine Stewardship: Education on ocean health, sustainable fisheries and reducing plastic pollution.

Biodiversity Protection: Student-led initiatives for afforestation, habitat restoration and wildlife conservation.

Community Engagement: Grassroots projects promoting sustainable lifestyles and conservation practices.

Technology Integration: • AI, IoT and digital platforms for monitoring ecosystems and supporting climate action.

Cross-disciplinary Learning: Linking engineering, science and social studies to foster holistic environmental stewardship.

Core Objectives
