Dr. Corrienna Abdul Talib is an Associate Professor in the Department of Innovative Science
and Mathematics Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Technology, Universiti
Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She is also currently appointed as an Adjunct Professor at
Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. She holds a PhD and a master’s degree in chemistry
education from Universiti Sains Malaysia. A UTM, she serves as the Coordinator for the
postgraduate programs in Chemistry and Science Education. Dr Corrienna has been an
active researcher and innovator, with numerous local and international awards recognizing
her contributions to education and technology. Her community engagement projects have
been rated 3 and 5-star for their impact and quality. She leads various initiatives in
Computational Thinking Skills, Microscale Chemistry, Visual Programming Languages,
Thinking Skills, Augmented Reality and Game based learning, and is involved in
multidisciplinary and international research grants. She holds several copyrights and leads
award-winning STEAM research project such as the Scratchtopia Challenge, SciBog and
MYGAMBOT. Her expertise has earned her invitations as a keynote speaker, plenary
speaker, guest speaker, as well as visiting professor both locally and internationally. In
addition, she has conducted more than 50 training sessions and workshops. Dr Corrienna is
a Design Thinking Professional Certification Program Instructor and Coordinator, a certified
Computational Thinking Master Trainer, a Professional Entrepreneur Certified Trainer and a
TRIZ Level 2 Certified Practitioner.
