Student Chapters

Student Chapters provide opportunities for networking, mentoring, and bonding over shared interests. They offer assistance to both the student community and the local communities outside of the institution.

Students pursuing their graduate and post graduate in Science, Engineering, Technology & Management can apply for IFERP student membership. IFERP encourages and supports students by appointing its members to provide necessary guidance to build and globalize their innovative ideas.

IFERP student Chapter is a scientific association of students with a minimum number of 100 students from a particular Institute/University. IFERP student chapter provides unique opportunities to learn and develop leadership skills, research development, networking, mentoring and bonding.

The Student Chapter of IFERP was established by petition to our head office by the hosting Institute/University/College. Establishing student chapter is to generate interest in advancement of education and research in relevant field of science, engineering and technology by providing student opportunities to,

Student Chapters provide unique opportunities for networking with Professionals, Speakers and mentoring. They provide support both within the student community and to local communities outside the institution.

How to Start an IFERP Student Chapter

A student chapter provides access to forums, panel discussions, and symposia that help students further their careers. Students can put their technical knowledge to the test by preparing and presenting technical reports and articles, as well as cooperating on research projects.

Guidelines for the formation of IFERP Student Chapter

To establish an IFERP Student Chapter,

  • The Institution/University must have at least 100 student members of IFERP.
  • At least three or more professional members from the institution/universities in good standing.
  • The initial team Chapter Head will decide on a term not exceeding one year from the date of installation of the Chapter and publish a notice for election of office bearers forming the Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) within this period.
  • Membership is open to all departments of the academic Institution/University.
  • The Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) comprises the Chairperson, Co Chairperson, Secretary and other council members.
  • IFERP Student Chapters provide unique opportunities to learn and develop leadership skills, research development, networking, mentoring and bonding.

The CEO of IFERP will grant final approval for the Chapter and present the chapter announcement

Start an IFERP Student Chapter,

Entries made during the application process may be saved and completed at a later time by visiting the URL sent to the chapter email address.

  • Step 1 : Enter IFERP Student chapter name, chapter email address, chapter type, and chapter sub-type.
  • Step 2 : Enter the names of the individuals to serve as Chair, Co Chair and Secretary, Student Ambassador. These individuals must be IFERP Professional Members and Student Ambassador must be a student member.
  • Step 3 : Enter chapter contact information (University Name, postal address and phone number, Contact Person Name).
  • Step 4 : Enter the names of at least 50 student members and 10 professional members willing to carry out the chapter's mission and participate in activities. The last name, first name, and email addresses of these members will be required. Once the completed application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the IFERP Local Activities Manager within five to seven business days.

Office Bearers

Chairperson

The Chairperson of the Student chapter will be head of the body and should be active and strong enough to coordinate with all in all R & D Activities and chapter operations with IFERP Headquarters.

Secretary

The secretary of IFERP student chapter is a professional with the capability to look after the operations of the chapter. The secretary will be one of the top office bearers to look after administrative aspects of the student chapter.

Student Ambassador

Student Ambassador from each department of the Institution/University is a student representative who connects students of their department to the global community of IFERP.

How to Start an IFERP Student Chapter

Students join IFERP-SIG chapters to stay connected to their special interests' research and practice. In research, conferences, and outreach, chapter members collaborate with fellow students and outstanding instructors. Graduate and PhD students will benefit most from student SIG chapters.

Entries made during the application process can be saved and finished at a later time, by accessing the URL supplied to the chapter email address.

  • Step 1 : Enter chapter name, chapter email address, chapter type, and chapter sub-type.
  • Step 2 : Enter the names of four individuals to serve as Chair, Co Chair and Secretary, Student Ambassador. These individuals must have an IFERP Professional Membership and student ambassador must have an IFERP Student Membership
  • Step 3 : Enter chapter contact information (Email Id and phone number)
  • Step 4 : Enter the names of at least 50 student members and 10 professional members willing to carry out the chapter's mission and participate in activities. The last name, first name, and email addresses of these members will be required through the application.

Once the completed application is submitted, SIG Chapter’s require additional approval by volunteers; this secondary approval procedure will take up to 2 weeks. When your chapter is approved, you will receive an email notification.
