Participation in a chapter offers a unique blend of social interaction and professional dialogue among peers in their own geographic area. The backgrounds of chapter members represent all aspects in the field of engineering, science & technology including academia, research, business, and industry; it will invariably focus on the type of information and insight that cannot be obtained in any other way.

IFERP provides its members with an opportunity to form Professional Chapters in different parts of the country from grass root level in order to organize Conferences, Seminars, Scientific Events, Workshops, Faculty Development Programme for the benefit of IFERP members locally as well as for IFERP Committee in general. IFERP with the help of its thousands of professional members all across the world annually conducts more than 200 international conferences, publishes more than fifty thousands of research papers in its peer reviewed journals, transactions and awards a number of professionals for their excellence in the field of engineering and technology.

How to Start an IFERP Professional Chapter

IFERP Chapter participation provides a unique combination of social interaction and professional dialogue among peers, in their own geographic area. IFERP Chapter members' backgrounds represent all professionals of Engineering, Science & Technology from academia, research, business and industry.

Guidelines for the formation of IFERP Professional Chapter

To establish an IFERP Professional Chapter,

  • At least three or more faculties from the institution/universities in good standing.
  • The Professional Members will elect one among themselves as the Chapter Head.
  • The initial team Chapter Head will decide on a term not exceeding one year from the date of installation of the Chapter and publish a notice for election of office bearers forming the Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) within this period.
  • Membership is open to all departments of the academic Institution/University.
  • The Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) comprises the Chairperson, Co Chairperson, Secretary and other council members.

The CEO of IFERP will grant final approval for the Chapter and present the chapter announcement.

Start an IFERP Professional Chapter,

Entries made during the application process can be saved and finished later by visiting the URL sent to the chapter email address.

  • Step 1 : Enter chapter name, chapter email address, chapter type, and chapter sub-type.
  • Step 2 :Enter the names of the individuals to serve as Chair, Co Chair and Secretary. These individuals must be IFERP Professional Members.
  • Step 3 : Enter chapter contact information (University Name, postal address and phone number, Contact Person Name).
  • Step 4 : Enter the names of at least Ten (10) professional members willing to carry out the chapter's mission and participate in activities. The last name, first name, and email addresses of these members will be required. Once the completed application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the IFERP Local Activities Manager within five to seven business days.

How to start an Professional IFERP SIG Chapter

Start an IFERP Professional SIG Chapter in 4 easy steps. If you want to start a SIG chapter, read the IFERP SIG "Starting a Chapter" webpage and get in touch with the IFERP SIG Professional and Student Chapters Committee.

Entries made during the application process can be saved and finished at a later time, by accessing the URL supplied to the chapter email address.

  • Step 1 : Enter chapter name, chapter email address, chapter type, and chapter sub-type.
  • Step 2 : Enter the names of four individuals to serve as Chair, Co Chair and Secretary, Student Ambassador. These individuals must have an IFERP Professional Membership and student ambassador must have an IFERP Student Membership
  • Step 3 : Enter chapter contact information (Email Id and phone number)
  • Step 4 : Enter the names of at least ten (10) individuals willing to carry out the chapter's mission and participate in activities. The last name, first name, and email addresses of these members will be required through the application.

Once the completed application is submitted, SIG Chapter’s require additional approval by volunteers; this secondary approval procedure will take up to 2 weeks. When your chapter is approved, you will receive an email notification.
