Prof. Nithesh Naik is an entrepreneur, distinguished academician, and accomplished researcher, widely recognized for his impactful contributions to Materials Science and interdisciplinary engineering innovations. With an exceptional academic record, he has authored 300+ publications in leading Scopus and SCI-indexed journals, achieving an H-index of 46 and over 9,500 citations. His sustained global research excellence has earned him recognition among the Top 2% Highly Cited Scientists by Stanford University (Elsevier B.V.) for four consecutive years. He is a faculty member at the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Institution of Eminence, India), where he actively contributes to research, teaching, and academic leadership. Prof. Naik also serves as the Chief Technical Officer at Curiouz Tech Labs, a Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India–funded MedTech startup focused on innovative healthcare solutions. In addition, he holds the position of Secretary of the International Training and Research in Uro-oncology and Endourology (iTRUE), contributing to global advancements in medical research and training. Prof. Naik is a Fellow of the Engineered Science Society (USA) and a Fellow and Advisory Board Member of the World Research Union, an international research consortium with a strong presence across Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the United Kingdom. His leadership extends to the global conference ecosystem, where he serves as Scientific Chair for IEEE conferences hosted in Malaysia, Germany, and the USA, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange. He is also the Managing Editor of the Journal of Computers, Mechanical and Management, playing a pivotal role in advancing scholarly publications. An active innovator, Prof. Naik has filed 7 patents at the Indian Patent Office in areas spanning advanced manufacturing systems and novel medical devices, including a pioneering scissors-needle system for intra-cavitary hydro-dissection and tissue excision.
